My mother nurtured and fed my hunger for a variety of crafts since I was 3 years old. She taught me to sew and then supported me as I branched into new interests. The love of creating something was cultivated by weekly adventures to the library. I loved trying to balance and carry a stack of books out of the library, because in that stack of oddly shaped books was a new creative adventure.
